The green at Brockham is a rectangular one with four rinks. Play can be either direction along its length. It is set out by the Greens Manager, as are the rink positions, to give even wear throughout the season. A colour code is employed to indicate which position the centre lines should be on.
During the season the green is open for play each day at 10.00 am. Except for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays when mowing is carried out. On those days, the green will not be available until 12:00 noon.
- Play can continue until dark each night.
- An online booking system is used for members to reserve a rink. See News and Events.
- The rink cannot be nominated in advance for club competitions.
- These are drawn on the day.
- The rink draw cards and match cards are kept in a box in Robins Nest.
- Before making arrangements to play outside of competitions at home please make sure there will be a rink available, as at certain times during the season all rinks can be taken.
- To set up a rink for play you need a Jack, a mat and a 2 metre stick, all stowed in the upper shed.
Please make sure after play, the clubhouse, changing room and equipment sheds are locked. The entrance gate is also to be locked on exit using the combination.
